Official Press Release

Level 10 Apparel Acquires the assets of Apparel 1

February 1, 2023 (Cedar Rapids, Iowa)  Level 10 Apparel is pleased to announce the completion of its acquisition of Apparel 1, a long-time trusted apparel decorator in Cedar Rapids.  “Former owner Mark Morrison, and current owner, Matt Fischer have done an excellent job serving customer needs and providing decorated apparel, promotional items, and programs.  We are very excited to have the opportunity to build on the exceptional service Mark, Matt, and the Apparel 1 team have provided over the years,” said Kris Koberg, owner of Level 10 Apparel.  “This acquisition is part of our growth strategy to support our company's purpose “To help others share their passion and pride by providing customized apparel, promotional products, and programs.”

“We will relocate the Apparel 1 team and all manufacturing functions to Level 10’s customer-centric state-of-the-art facility just 1 mile west of the Apparel 1 offices,” said Josh Whitlow, Level 10’s Director of Operations.  “Once the move is complete, we will close the current Apparel 1 facility.”

Level 10 Apparel has been producing custom-decorated apparel for retailers, corporate customers, schools, organizations, associations, and individuals for over 25 years.  “The move to our new facility on Edgewood Road SW (the former Gander Mountain building) has provided us with the opportunity to provide a customer experience that is second to none.  From the safety of our showroom, you can see and experience the complete decoration process.  We are excited to share this experience with more people,” said Koberg.

Long-time Cedar Rapids resident Mark Morrison who has owned and operated Apparel One for 16 years, is ready to retire.  Mark sold the business to Matt Fischer of Davenport, Iowa, and the owner of Top Shape Gyms in May of 2022.  Mark and Matt are glad that the team they built and the legacy of their work will continue under the Level 10 banner.  “Level 10 has the facility, team and processes to support ongoing growth.  We are happy our team will have more opportunities for long-term personal and professional growth,” said Matt and Mark, who are both assisting with the transition.
